FAQ

What is an Electronic Cigarette?

It is an alternative to smoking tobacco products, such as cigarettes, cigars, or pipes. In addition to proportioned nicotine delivery, this vapour also provides a flavour, and physical sensation, similar to that of inhaled tobacco smoke, while no smoke or combustion is actually involved in its operation. The Electronic cigarette is designed to resemble the outward appearance of real smoking, but without the chemicals hidden in real (analoque) cigarettes.

What is E-liquid?

In order to deliver a similar experience to smoking cigarettes, E-cigs make use of E-liquid, to provide the taste, nicotine, and visual appearance of smoking to the smoker without the 3999+ chemicals found in cigarettes. E-liquid, is a liquid consisting of PG (propylene glycol), VG (Vegetable Glycerin), flavouring, and nicotine.

What is an Atomizer?

The e-cigarette atomizer is a heating element that turns e-liquid into vapor. It is usually made up of three parts: the actual heating coil, a mesh bridge and a wick that absorbs e-liquid. The atomizer is also known as a nebulizer.

In order for the atomizer to function properly, the heating coil must be either immersed in liquid or positioned in a heavily saturated atmosphere, or it will overheat. The e-liquid acts as a coolant, keeping the atomizer working at temperatures of around 60 – 70 degrees Celsius. If it doesn’t have enough moisture to cool it down, the atomizer coil will overheat, reaching temperatures of up to 300 degrees Celsius, and eventually fail. Without any liquid to vaporize, it will burn the wick and filling material of the cartridge or cartomizer and melt the atomizer’s internal components. That’s why it’s very important to keep an eye on e-liquid levels at all times
